Hello dear fans, friends, and patrons of the Goliath Energy Corporation. I am writing this post today as your Chief Executive Officer in response to a recent cyber attack suffered by the organization. As malicious as it was, this incident was contained and controlled such that all functions of the G.E.C. platform remain secure and operational. However, we are faced with the loss of our homepage for division one of our company; Griffith Enterprizes. Yet, this was just one free website offered by Google, the Griffith Enterprizes account and blogging system remain intact and secure. For this reason, we are grateful for our fateful decision to back-up the operations of the entire G.E.C. business and platform in such a manner as was possible with Google Blogger. Once this critical operation had been performed (months ago) the home page/site(s) for Goliath became the redundancies.
The only purpose this site was serving was as free advertising for the company. With the addition of blogs onto all of these platforms, Goliath has all the web-advertising it needs to be successful without any of the free business websites offered by Google. However, with the loss of the website comes the loss of the business profile. No transactions had been recorded by this profile/account. The value and the functionality of the company remain within the Google drives themselves and in the media including the blogs owned by the company accounts. The necessary links are in place on the home blog pages for all of the content of the web platform to be navigated through, without these websites. Thus, all three websites were just advertising that was serving to defend the company. As for the business profile, it is also unnecessary for what was essentially a holding division within a holding company, as long as the holdings are still there everything is fine, and they are. Consequently, you may all continue to use the G.E.C. platform safely and effectively.
I will finish by summarizing the attack; a DDoS attack took place in early August directed towards the Griffith Enterprizes home-page shutting down the site. The loss of the site resulted in the loss of the business profile. The loss was discovered on August 9, and immediate action was taken to mitigate the loss. The incident was contained to those two assets, and all other holdings and systems were deemed to be in working order. Repairs were conducted on the platform to ensure that it could continue to be used and links to the blog acting as the new home page for G.E. was added so that Goliath would remain a seamless and integrated experience. The loss of either of the remaining two websites was evaluated as possible, but the results should fail to compromise the key systems of Goliath as no content or function other than advertising is served by these sites. The authorities were then notified of the attack, and a response plan was formulated. Even though they have been made extraneous by the blogging network we at Goliath hope to make the potential loss of either of the remaining sites as costly as possible in order to deter and prevent such attacks in the future. We continue to wish you all the best of luck in your lives and remind you to take all reasonable steps towards staying safe on the world wide web. It is my dearest wish that your experience with Goliath remain as secure as possible. Thank you for reading!
